Darryl Smith is the heart, humour, and unstoppable energy behind Haggis Waggon Tours. Born and raised in Dublin, Darryl grew up surrounded by storytellers — the kind of people who could turn a simple bus ride into an adventure and a quiet evening into a legend. That spark never left him.

After years of travelling across Scotland, falling in love with a  Bonnie Scottish lass  its wild landscapes, warm people, and wonderfully chaotic weather, Darryl realised something: Scotland deserved a tour company that felt as alive as the country itself. Not corporate. Not cookie‑cutter. Something bold, bright, and full of character.

So he built it.

With one Blue waggon , a head full of ideas, and a belief that travel should feel magical, Darryl launched Haggis Waggon Tours — a company rooted in authenticity, laughter, and genuine connection. Under his leadership, the brand has grown into a guest‑favourite experience known for big  groups, big stories, and a cheeky sense of fun that keeps travellers coming back.Darryl's approach is simple:
